Welcome to the ‘Savour of Salt‘ shop page! I have an Etsy shop called Savour of Salt where I sell some of my creations to raise funds for Mombasa Mission.
If you spot a make on here that you’d rather just buy than attempt to make for yourself just head over to my shop because you may well find it there. Furthermore, if you don’t I’m always happy to discuss custom orders!
What can I expect to find in the shop?
If you want the answer in one word then it’s VARIETY!!
I love to create and I love all sorts of crafts! So you’ll find everything from hand lettered custom notebooks to aprons and hand dyed yarn to peg bags and hand drawn colouring books!
And if you want to be eco friendly there’s even an upcycled section. There you’ll find items made from pre-loved fabrics, perfectly imperfect fabrics or offcuts and other upcycled materials.
How much of what I pay goes to Mombasa Mission?
After Etsy fees and postage costs, every penny! SO if you are ever getting rid of fabrics, yarn or other craft materials I’d be more than interested in you sending them my way!
What is Mombasa Mission?
Mombasa Mission is a relatively young charity and is supporting the poor rural communities near the Mombasa region of Kenya. Mombasa Mission have a feeding program especially for the poorest as well as a health clinic and local ministry.
This is their mission statement…
‘’To relieve poverty and advance the Christian religion amongst the people of East Africa particularly, though not exclusively, through the provision of churches, child rescue homes, medical centres and schools, and through the translation and distribution of Christian literature.’’
